Synopsis: Hooking up is only the beginning of the fun in this sexy and irresistible second installment of the thrilling New Adult series, Boomerang.

At Boomerang, one night can change everything…

Adam Blackwood has it all. At twenty-two, he’s fabulously wealthy, Ryan Gosling-hot and at the top of his game in the business world. His life is perfect, until a scandal from his past resurfaces and threatens to knock the tech wunderkind down and throw his company, Boomerang, a hook-up site for millennials, into chaos.

Alison Quick, the twenty-one-year-old daughter of a business tycoon—and the very ex-girlfriend of Boomerang’s former intern, Ethan—has a problem of her own. After nearly flunking out in her senior year of college, she has one chance to redeem herself to her father by proving that she deserves a place in his corporate empire. That means spearheading her father’s plan to sink big money into Adam’s company and launch it into the stratosphere—provided Adam has no skeletons in his closet.

When the two meet, their sizzling chemistry makes it tough to keep things strictly professional. But when Alison discovers Adam’s secret, she knows she should bring it right to her father, who’ll leverage it for his own gain and use it to ruin Adam. The only problem: she’s falling for Adam—hard.

Will earning her father’s approval come at the price of losing her first real love? Or can Adam and Alison leave behind past mistakes and conquer the world—together?

Review: 4 Stars - Rebound is the second book in the Boomerang series from Author Noelle August, pen name for Veronica Rossi and Lorin Oberweger. Each book is a companion novel that features new characters set in the same world. Their stories do cross from time to time which makes the books great as a series OR as standalone titles.

This time around we get to spend some time with twenty-two year old Adam Blackwood – owner of Boomerang. He has everything he’s worked so hard for and on the cusp of taking his company to the next level. He’s also hiding behind a ton of guilt from an accident that took his wife, an accident he’s worked hard to bury deep and try to forget.

Alison Quick is sent in by her rich father to vet Adam and his company for a huge investment. She’s dealing with her own issues while trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. She’s harboring some deep feelings and confusion when it comes to family and guilt yet working with Adam makes her think differently for the first time.

The two have a mountain of issues to work through together and apart and just when you think they might see the light at the end of the tunnel even more issues crop up to make the small amount of trust they’ve given to the other crumble in the blink of an eye.

The thing that I love about these books is that the characters have so much for readers to relate to.  That the books are just the right mix of light and fluffy to the more series side of the issues that we watch these characters work through.

The writing flows extremely easy and both books so far are super quick reads. I’ve really loved following along with the characters connected to the Boomerang company.  I’m really looking forward to the next book to see what the heck Adam’s brother Grey is going to get up to in Bounce out later this year.

When you think of two authors coming together to write a book, I know for me I often worry about how the end product will come out. I wonder if there will be something that I’ll see to show me that two authors were in fact writing the story. That’s so not the case with these two authors here. I don’t even think about this series being written by two authors now, it’s just that seamless. So I have to commend them for how well they work together and for the end result of their work.

In the end, I love these books. They are fantastically written “New Adult” contemporary books that readers will find themselves falling for the characters and lost within their lives and the world created for them. I highly recommend this series for anyone who loves characters with depth and issues or anyone who’s looking for a lighter read after something a bit darker. For me these books always came at just the right time and I’m really looking forward to the next book because I know Grey’s going to take readers on a wild, wild ride. So, what are you waiting for? Go get these books and enjoy!

About the Authors:
NOELLE AUGUST is an anagram for Veronica Rossi and Lorin Oberweger. Just kidding, it's a pen name!

VERONICA ROSSI is the author of the New York Times Best-selling UNDER THE NEVER SKY trilogy for young adults. The books are available in more than thirty countries and the film rights have been optioned by Warner Bros. Veronica completed undergraduate studies at UCLA and lives in Northern California with her husband and two sons. She is fond of dresses with pockets, fluffy dogs, and cheese and chocolate -- but not together.

LORIN OBERWEGER began her storytelling career by captivating her first-grade class with tales of her summers on a kibbutz in Israel. Lorin had never been to Israel. While teacher/parent night put an end to her first experiments in fiction, she’d already caught the bug and eventually made a career of all things story. As a long-time independent editor and story development guru, Lorin's client successes range from small press publications to major bestselling novels. She's an award-winning author and has also worked behind the scenes as a ghostwriter on a variety of projects. Her work has received starred Kirkus reviews and glowing mentions in The New York Times. Oh, she did get to see a kibbutz, eventually, and found out she had it pretty much right all along.

Veronica and Lorin met at a writing workshop and just knew they were destined to create awesome things together.
